Camouflaged Feather

Took a hike in the riparian oak woodland along the Stanislaus River at Caswell Memorial State Park today. Only a tiny fraction of California’s Central Valley riparian woodlands remain intact. Spotted this camouflaged feather. The coloring of the feather is identical to the coloring of the patchy shadows in the oak woodland.
